The Baltimore Zoo comes alive at night with holiday lights shaped like wildlife. Proceeds help to support the Zoo’s animal care and conservation work. Zoo Lights offers two options for tickets: Drive-Thru or Walk-Thru. Make sure to purchase tickets in advance. This holiday display does not run on Thanksgiving or Christmas. Guests ages 2 and above must wear masks.

Lights on The Bay has been a holiday display tradition for more than 25 years. 2020 marks the show’s 26th year, making families all over the Chesapeake Bay gleam with holiday cheer. The even has two-miles of scenic holiday lights along the Chesapeake Bay, boasting around 70 unique light displays. Proceeds from the Lights On The Bay show help benefit the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, the largest animal welfare organization in the country. Tickets must be purchased before attending.

Winter Lights Festival at Seneca State Park | Gaithersburg, MD
Another Christmas tradition in Maryland for more than 25 years, the Winter Lights Festival at Seneca State Park features a 3.5-mile drive with more than 450 festive light displays and adorned trees. Tickets can be purchased on-site. However, visitors can save a few dollars by purchasing their tickets early.

Garden In Lights at Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center | Solomons, MD
The grounds of the Annamarie Sculpture Garden have been transformed into a winter wonderland with light sculptures and displays the entire family will enjoy. Experience unique expressions of wild animals, holiday musical scenes, illuminated trees, and more. Garden In Lights also has outdoor festivities, including Holiday Marketing and their Hardesty Haven Holiday Cafe. All guests over the age of 2 are required to wear masks. The Upperco Volunteer Fire Company hosts its annual Yuletide Village with the hope to bring joy and happiness to families all over. For 2020, the Upperco Volunteer Fire Company has taken their holiday display for a joyful drive-through experience at the Arcadia Fairgrounds. There are discounts for seniors, first responders, and military personnel.

Merriweather Symphony of Lights | Columbia, MD
Celebrating 27 years of holiday cheer in Howard County, the Merriweather Symphony of Lights display features more than 300,000 bulbs set and displayed its dazzling creations. The display is set in the historic Merriweather Post Pavilion and includes both walk-through and drive-through options. Make sure to grab your tickets before attending the show.

Festival of Lights at the Watkins Regional Park | Upper Marlboro, MD
Watkins Regional Park has been decorated with more than 2.5 million holiday lights in stunning and creative displays. There is even a 54-foot LED musical tree to end the night on a joyful note. The park is also accepting canned goods for donation to local food banks. Tickets can be purchased online. Masks are required when interacting with park personnel.
