The original Baltimore Trolley Tour takes you through the neighborhoods that comprise downtown Baltimore. The tour showcases the city’s role in the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812 (“The Star-Spangled Banner” story), the Industrial Revolution and the preservation of historic architecture, monuments and waterfront neighborhoods.
Along the way, you’ll discover why Baltimore is still making history. Points of interest include:
- Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine
- the first basilica in America
- the recently restored Washington Monument
- Edgar Alan Poe’s grave
- the historic Lexington Market
